Before each project, I'll conduct a no-cost consultation to find out the basics: what the project is, when you need it, how much research and writing will be involved. From this consultation, I'll provide a cost estimate. (For more information on pricing, see the FAQ section.) For certain large projects, a contract may also be required. Once the estimate and/or contract are agreed upon, I begin work immediately. I'll start by scheduling information-gathering meetings with you and your key staff. I'll ask lots of questions about your preferences, target audience and objectives. Yes, this can be time-consuming, but it's also critically important. This is where I learn about you - and where our collaboration truly begins. The more information I get initially, the shorter our future meetings will be. Once any requisite research and/or interviews are conducted, I begin writing, and I will send my first draft to you by the agreed-upon deadline. Each project includes two full rounds of corrections and/or changes at no additional charge. With input from you and key members of your staff, I'll revise each draft until I hear those golden words, "It's approved!" And then? Hopefully, I'm starting your next project.
